Protecting the best interests of the child in Pennsylvania court

Due to the unpredictability nature, high stress and costs associated with most family law proceedings, is preferable for parents to settle their child custody disagreements out of court. However, when Pennsylvania parents cannot come to agreement on a child custody matter, the issue is typically left to a family law judge to decide. In such cases, a judge's decision will be based on a wide variety of factors.

Among the issues that a family court judge will take into consideration is a child's need of a stable community, family and education. The judge will also consider both parents' availability and ability to take care of the child. The proximity of the parents' homes will also be considered. Another important factor is the likelihood that a particular parent will facilitate continued contact between the child and the other parent.

Each child custody matter is different and must be evaluated based on the unique facts and circumstances of a given case. We are highly familiar with the nuances of family law and how it applies to child custody matters. Furthermore, we are passionate about helping parents understand their rights in a child custody disagreement, and we will help parents to protect those rights in court if necessary.

Most child custody disagreements can be settled out of court. However, we are fully prepared to pursue your legal matter to trial if all other options and potential solutions have failed. More importantly, in any trial situation, it will be our mission to make sure that the court has all the information it needs to make a decision that is in the best interest of your child.
